THE MELANESIAN WAY: Spirit-Led Conservation

About
Home » About

What We Do ?

We are here to promote Melanesian-Way: Spirit-Led Conservation that emphasizes the "socio-cultural" conservation as the primary and basic pillars to mobilize community-led conservation across Melanesia.

The socio-cultural conservation is the father of conservation, while bio-cultural conservation is the child of conservation. The mother of conservation is restoration and documentation of Stories and storylines. There is no life without stories that are continuously and tirelessly kept and told for centuries in human history, from generation to generation.

The Melanesian-Way: Spirit-Led Conservation is a holistic conservation approach that emphasize spirit, human, nature, matter, season, -scapes

The Triune of Modern Conservation Concept

We advocate conservation as lifestyle, not an effort, and we carry our conservation work for both this life and after this life.

  • SAVE LIFE
  • 1. Document Storylines (orally, but if possible in written form)
  • 2. Legalize Storylines/ Customary Laws (Living Garden and Codify and Legalize Customary laws)
  • 3. Establish society under an NGO for a tribe
  • 4. Establish business entity for the tribe.
  • CAFE FOR LIFE
  • 1. Welcome Birth (all activities for mothers before, during and after birth, according to Melanesian Way)
  • 2. Treat Life (Nature is the Healer hospital)
  • 3. Heal Life (Social Inter-Seeping Centre)
  • 4. Happy Death Hospital (Melanesian way of preparation to welcome death and to farewell life)
  • CELEBRATE LIFE
  • 1. Spirit Festivals
  • 2. Music and Culture Festivals
  • 3. Nature Festivals
  • 4. Worship Festival
